Cats throw up when they are sick or have eaten too much. Eating too fast can also cause vomiting.
If your cat is vomiting for a long period of time, it may be due to some serious illnesses. In that case you may need to contact your nearest vet.
That being said, cats throwing up once or twice in week or month is normal you and don't have to worry about it.
