The short answer to that is yes. But it is not really messy and sometimes barely noticeable. Siamese cats have coats with distinctive patterns. Their hair are soft and silky and is also quite different from that of other breeds, as it does not shed a great deal. A Siamese cat has a coat that grows only so long before it begins to taper off.

If you properly groom your Siamese cat daily during the shedding season (spring and fall), then you don't have to worry a bit about cat hair all around your house.
